Meet the Team: Todd Oetelaar

What is your role at Terrara House? 

My role at Terrara house is maintaining and improving the historic grounds of the estate.

What parts of your job are you most passionate about?

Using my knowledge and experience of horticulture and landscape to create amazing gardens and being able to share that with guests.

What did you do before coming to work at Terrara House?

Before Terrara House, I was a landscape gardener in Wollongong and oversaw a team of three horticulturists.

What is your favourite spot at Terrara House?

Favourite spot would have to be the heart garden, those hedges are tough work but the end result is amazing.

What is your favourite thing about living in the Shoalhaven region?

Whilst only living in the Shoalhaven area for 8 months. My family and I are slowing discovering the amazing rivers and beaches. 

Tell us (up to three) ‘fun facts’ about you?

Some fun facts, I'm actually a wedding celebrant that's covered in tattoos, hence the name 'The Inked Celebrant' definitely not your traditional wedding officiant. I also used to be a singer/screamer in a metal band that toured the south coast. I'm sure our EP is on 'myspace' somewhere.
