We acknowledge and pay respect to the past, present and future traditional custodians and elders of this land, especially to the Wodi-Wodi tribe of the Yuin nation.
The Nowra region south of the Bomaderry Creek, including the area of Terara, was inhabited by the Wodi-Wodi tribe. ‘Baiame’ is a sacred sky-hero who is said to have led the Wodi Wodi people to their country, formed the natural features of the land, and gave them their social laws and rites.
